Flo is an original lamp design, sponsored by OLEDWorks, who donated state-of-the-art OLED light panels. At just 1/16” thick, these panels open lighting opportunities that conventional bulbs don’t allow.
Flo was designed from scratch, manufactured, packaged and sold in a short production run. With a stainless steel and cherry wood frame, this project tested my production capabilities, outsourcing, and project management. All facets of production were managed by myself, including water-jet cutting, woodworking, wiring, branding, and packaging. The OLED panel is cradled between two symmetrical arms and a friction hinge at the neck allows for easy adjustment of the lighting angle.
