Sony's next gen console is so radical it can't stand up on it's own. Sacrificing functionality for superficial features is not the Sony way, so I reimagined the PS5 as a more traditional, functional console.
I maintained the visual identity of the PS5 with it's two-tone sandwich, while refining the outer layers as reconfigurable shells that support the console in both orientations. The resulting look more closely matches Sony's traditional design language and eliminates the need for an additional stand. Click here to read the full case study!
